Fred and Rusty with Fred's 6x6 bull from the 2005 archery season |
September Our camp is reached by a 14 mile horseback ride into the heart of Colorado's largest wilderness area. We have taken some impressive trophy specimens from our regular hunting grounds.

Mid September Due to the fact that bulls are in the peak of the rut , their bugling makes this hunt an exceptional experience. During this season we enjoy a high success rate of trophy animals. The muzzleload hunt has been our most productive hunt. The past six years we have had a 100% shot success rate and the past four years we have had 90% harvest. Most of our shots have been taken at 40 yards or less. (shown at right) This was Fred's 3rd bull! In the past six years he has hunted with us he has taken two bulls with his muzzleloader (a 4x5 and a 6x6) and the above 6x6 with his bow. |
